This new series of work is me investigating the human form and how its light and structure changes and reacts to being underwater. Like most of my water work, they have been painted onto wooden panels to utilise the smooth surface, to create a watery finish.

My main objective with all my work, is to to create a feeling of calm with colour. Swimming was always a struggle for me as a child. I had health problems with my ears which restricted swimming growing up. So when I was finally allowed to, I would just float underwater in this quiet, magical and forbidden place.
